Student Organizations

New York City offers Columbia MBAs concentrated access to the investing community. Students interested in the investing profession take advantage of this asset through a broad array of student clubs and organizations.

The Columbia Investment Management Association is an especially valuable resource, offering lectures by notable industry practitioners, career networking opportunities and other activities that supplement both classroom education and recruiting efforts. Other clubs of interest include the Columbia Finance Association, the Equity Research Club, the Real Estate Association and the Social Enterprise Club.

Additionally, the School’s weekly student newspaper, the Bottom Line, runs a “Profiles in Investing” column, sponsored by the Heilbrunn Center, that features interviews with notable alumni practitioners.
