Our Mission
The mission of the Career Management Center is to:
- Consult with students in their job search
- Teach lifelong career management skills
- Offer access to career resources and opportunities
- Facilitate introductions between students and recruiters
Our Services
The Career Management Center provides students with:
- A four-session noncredit course to help first-year students successfully
manage the job search process.
- Individual advising sessions that help you formulate your individual job
search strategy and provide guidance tailored to your needs.
- Workshops and clinics that provide tactical advice on many job search topics
in a small-group setting.
- Management communications workshops that trains you in interviewing and
presentation skills.
- Outreach to companies, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations
to let them know about the value of Columbia MBA students.
- A Career Management Library with informational resources vital to your job
search.
- Advice to student clubs: Each career adviser serves as a liaison to specific
career-related clubs, providing guidance on planning company visits, hosting
corporate speakers and facilitating other networking opportunities.
