The Career Management Center is dedicated to partnering with students to help you learn the building blocks of career management that will prepare you not only for your next job but also for a lifetime of contributing to the private, public and non-profit sectors. Through one-on-one sessions with advisors to formulate individual job search strategies, as well as workshops and clinics that provide tactical advice, students become well prepared to navigate the job search process in their first and second years.
The online Career Management Tools help students develop a framework and strategy for their career path and subsequent job search. All of the resources needed for industry and company research, resume writing, networking and more have been pulled together in one location for ease of student use. Additionally, the Career Management Library provides many additional resources for students including “Career Chronicles” a documentary series following MBA students through the steps of their job search during their time at CBS.
The Career Management Center is continually reaching out to companies, government
agencies, and not-for-profit organizations to further extend the opportunities
for Columbia MBAs. The CMC also works closely with the student clubs on their
career-related programming providing guidance on planning company visits, hosting
corporate speakers and facilitating other networking opportunities.
