If your club plans to reach out to corporate sponsors for funding, then you will need to work directly with the Office of Corporate Relations. There is a formal process for obtaining corporate sponsorship and it is important that you contact Felicia Ganthier, your liaison in the Office of Corporate Relations, before you begin reaching out to sponsors. She can help you with all of your corporate sponsorship needs by providing you with company contact information, samples of sponsorship outreach letters or corporate speaker solicitation letters and information about your club's past sponsorship and donations. Once your club has secured a sponsorship commitment Felicia must also invoice all committed donors on your behalf. This ensures that your sponsorship funds are deposited directly into your club account and that your sponsors receive proper tax benefits and a thank you letter from the school. Please see the attached document outlining the procedure for invoicing a sponsor.
The Offic of Corporate Relations is on 60th Street, but they are happy to come to campus for meetings throughout the week on a one-off basis.
If you are seeking sponsorhip from one of Columbia Business School's corporate partners or you would like to invite a member of the Columbia Business School Board of Overseers, Felicia can reach out to them directly on your behalf. * Please contact Corporate Relations before you reach out to Corporate Partners or any member of the Board of Overseers. *
