Tips for Using the Columbia Business School Logo
Horizontal or Stacked?
The horizontal version of the logo is the primary identity and should be used in all instances except
those in which there is insufficient room to fit the horizontal logo at its minimum size. That minimum size is measured by the height of the Hermes icon—print, 0.25 inches high; Web, 24 pixels high. As a rule of thumb, the logo should never be wider than half the width of the page on which it appears.
Placement
Always position the logo in the upper left of the page.
Space
Leave space around the logo at least equal to the height of the letter “C” in “Columbia Business School” in the logo.
Use
The logo serves to brand the item and should be used sparingly; it does not function as part of the title or headline or as a decoration. When appropriate, set off the logo from other elements either with a rule beneath it or by placing it in a blue or black horizontal background
bar.
Alignment
Align copy, or text, beneath the logo either on the left edge of the Hermes icon or on the left edge of the “C” in the wordmark.
Fonts
For copy, use the Arial (sans serif) and Times New Roman fonts (serif) for copy. Use Arial for all headlines and subheadlines, and Times New Roman for body copy.
