Students who wish to interrupt their studies for any reason must apply for a leave of absence in writing. The application for a Leave of Absence should be directed in letter form to the Dean of Students and include reason for the leave, and anticipated date of return. The completed Leave of Absence form will indicate the agreed upon anticipated date of return. Permission to return at a time other than stated in the application for a Leave of Absence must be requested in writing to the Dean of Students at least four weeks before the start of the semester under discussion. Students absent for a term without obtaining prior approval must submit a formal application for readmission to the School. Students taking a leave of absence must complete the MBA program within five years of their start date.
Note: students who begin the MBA program in September are permitted to take the summer off between their first and second years; this summer break is not considered a leave of absence. Those who begin the program in January are expected to complete four consecutive terms, without interruption.
