Faculty Feedback

Faculty members will make every attempt to return assignments, exams and projects within a week of their being turned in. As appropriate, comments will be included on the papers, especially when the work is substandard. The grades for core course work returned with a numeric grade will be posted on Angel.

Once graded, final exam papers and projects will either be returned to the students or available in their professors' offices. The teaching team for each core course will decide how to return final exams, and that decision will be uniform across all sections of that course. If the decision is made to retain final exam papers, students will be able to come in, either by appointment or during scheduled office hours during the entire semester after which the exams were given, to review them with their professors and receive appropriate feedback. Arrangements will be made for access to the exams, as well as for thorough feedback, if the professor will be away for the subsequent semester.

Upon request by a student, the breakdown of his/her grade into the components that have been specified in the syllabus should be made available to help students monitor their own performance.
