Announcements for the Lobby Plasma Screens

Publicizing your event on the lobby plasma screens can be an effective way to spread the word about your event and increase attendance. If you would like your event displayed there, create a slide using the following guidelines and send it to communications@gsb.columbia.edu for approval and posting. Make sure you send a JPEG image created from a landscape-oriented 14.25 x 8 PowerPoint slide at least 72 hours in advance of requested posting date. You may want to use the attached PowerPoint template.

Slides must adhere to the following guidelines in order to be displayed:

DO:

  • Use Arial font in sizes 40-100
  • Consider the legibility of your slide—use large fonts, contrasting colors and few words
  • Fit all information on one slide
  • Proofread your slide, particularly for time, date and location

DON'T:

  • Reformat the template
  • Submit multiple slides for a single event
  • Overcrowd your message with too many words or images
