Columbia University, with its variety of excellent graduate programs, makes it possible for students with interdisciplinary interests to work toward two degrees simultaneously. Dual degrees are offered with the following schools:
Architecture
MBA and MS in Urban Planning:
45 Business School points, 45 credits with the faculty of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
Dental and Oral Surgery
MBA and DDS:
45 Business School credits, eight terms at the School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Students must complete five terms of full-time matriculation at the Dental School prior to entering the Business School in January.
Engineering and Applied Science
MBA and MS:
- Business and Earth & Environmental Engineering: 75 credits in total, with a minimum of 45 Business School credits, and a minimum of 24 credits in the MS program.
- Business and Industrial Engineering: 75 credits in total, with a minimum of 45 Business School credits,
and a minimum of 24 credits in the MS program.
- Business and Financial Engineering: 75 credits in total, with a minimum of 45 Business School credits,
and a minimum of 24 credits in the MS program.
- Business and Operations Research: 75 credits in total, with a minimum of 45 Business School credits,
and a minimum of 24 credits in the MS program.
International and Public Affairs
MBA and MIA:
45 Business School credits, 45 School of International and Public Affairs credits.
Journalism
MBA and MS:
45 Business School credits, 30 Journalism School credits.
Law *
MBA and JD:
45 Business School credits, 73 Law School credits.
* We offer both a four year MBA/JD and a three year MBA/JD.
Nursing
MBA and MS:
45 Business School credits, 30 Nursing School credits.
Physicians and Surgeons
MBA and MD:
45 Business School credits, the prescribed eight-term curriculum at the College of Physicians and Surgeons. Students must begin matriculation at the Medical School, entering the Business School in January of their third or fourth year.
Public Health
MBA and MPH:
45 Business School credits, 39 Public Health credits.
Social Work
MBA and MS:
45 Business School credits, 45 Social Work credits.
