Final Examinations

If you must reschedule an exam, the Office of Student Affairs will make every effort to reschedule your exam during the given exam period, in accordance with our policy and consultation with the faculty.

Exams may be rescheduled for the following reasons:

A. Exam conflict, defined as either: 1) two final exams scheduled at the same time or 2) three or more final exams scheduled within a two-day period.
B. Religious observance
C. Personal medical and family emergencies

Interviews, professional conferences and other career-related pursuits, personal or work travel are not considered legitimate reasons for a rescheduled exam.

Exceptions may be given only by permission of the Assistant Dean.

If you have a legitimate reason for requesting a rescheduled exam, please email the Office of Student Affairs at mbaexamconflicts@gsb.columbia.edu with the following information: course number, course name, professor, current exam date and time and reason for the request.
