Diplomas
Degrees will be officially conferred on Wednesday, May 22; diplomas will be distributed that day in Uris Hall, Watson Library from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
The registrar will automatically mail uncollected diplomas to students with U.S. addresses. Please make sure to keep your post-graduation address updated on SSOL.
Diplomas will only be mailed to non-U.S. addresses at the written request of the student. If you cannot pick up your diploma on May 22 and expect to be living outside of the United States, please provide the Columbia University Registrar Diploma Desk, 205 Kent Hall, with the appropriate mailing information.
Photos
Columbia Business School will designate an official photographer for the Recognition Ceremony; graduates will be contacted by mail or e-mail regarding the purchase of their photographs. Families are welcome to photograph and videotape both the Business School and University ceremonies.
In order to be contacted by the photographer following the ceremony, make sure to fill out the yellow card that you will receive at the ceremony check-in table. The photographer will contact you via the information provided on these cards.
Cap and Gown
Caps and gowns are to be worn for both Recognition and Commencement. All academic attire distribution will be conducted through the Columbia University Bookstore. Please visit the Columbia Bookstore website under the Student Center tab for more information.

Following is a list of hotels that are convenient, via Subway, to Columbia University. Please bear in mind that mid May is a particularly busy time for many schools' graduation ceremonies and media corporate events in New York City. Consider making your reservations early.

Flat-Club
