To specialize in real estate at Columbia Business School, students are encouraged to take Real Estate Finance plus three additional electives. Students planning to work in real estate are advised to select at least two of these three courses from the following list of real estate electives. In addition, students are able to take up to two electives outside of the Business School.

Students select from the following list of recommended real estate and related elective courses to build a real estate education that will enhance their experience and prepare them with the skills and knowledge needed to become leaders in the industry.

Note: In order to take advanced Finance classes, including Real Estate Finance and Real Estate Capital Markets, students must also take Capital Markets, a non-real estate course, which is a prerequisite. The majority of students take this course concurrently with Real Estate Finance.

Also Note: * Real Estate Finance is a pre-requisite for all the other real estate courses.  Real Estate Transactions is a pre-requisite for both the Advanced Seminar in Real Estate and for the Master Class in Real Estate Investment *
