Subprime Google Earth Maps
We provide Zip Code level maps describing the geographic distribution
of Subprime mortgages. The Maps were created using the R Statistical Package, STATA© , and Shp2KML.

2. Download a map file from the list below below:
AveragePercentofHousingUnitswithSubp.kmz
This map displays the average pecent of housing units within zip codes
that have a subprime loans. Only zip codes in the largest 108 US
Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) are displayed.
PercentofHousingUnitsinForeclosureor.kmz This
map displays the percent of housing units within zip codes that have
loans that are in foreclosure or are 90+ days delinquent. Only zip
codes in New York state, and within the MSAs within New York state, are
displayed.
PercentofHousingUnitstoResetwithinth.kmz
This map displays the percent of housing units within zip codes that
have loans that are set to reset in the next year. Only zip codes in
New
York state, and within the MSAs within New York state, are displayed.

Once downloaded, open the map file in Google Earth by selecting “file
> open” from the menu bar and then selecting the downloaded file.NOTE: Some of the Map files are very large, it may take a minute or two for the maps to load. Please be patient.
