PhD student Yina Lu wins 1st place in MSOM Student Paper Competition
PhD student Yina Lu was awarded first place in the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society (MSOM) Student Paper Competition, judged at this year's INFORMS conference in October 2012. Two awards are given annually for student papers judged to be the best in the field of Operations Management. Yina's winning paper, titled "Measuring the Effect of Queues on Customer Purchases," was written jointly with Adres Musalem (Duke University), Marcelo Olivares(Columbia University), and Ariel Schilkrut (SCOPIX).
