Student Organizations

There are nearly 100 active student organizations at Columbia Business School, ranging from cultural to professional to community service–oriented. Together, they host more than 100 events every week. These organizations provide a valuable and stimulating complement to the academic curriculum and social environment. Leadership positions within the clubs also offer hands-on management and networking opportunities for students as they interact with fellow students, administrators, faculty members, alumni and practitioners.

There is a club for each area of academic focus at Columbia Business School, which means that students have yet another outlet for exploring their chosen field. Building upon the many events and projects coordinated through curricular offerings and the Career Management Office, the professional clubs enable students to tailor activities to specific areas of interest within an academic focus or particular field.

In addition to career and professional organizations, students have the chance to participate in student government and leadership, community-service organizations, interest groups, athletic groups and social-networking groups.

Clubs receive wide support from the Columbia Business School community. Faculty members and alumni get involved as advisers, event moderators or panelists, while corporations often generously sponsor events.
