Attending Columbia Business School represents a significant investment of time and money. Recognizing this, the School strives to provide students with various means to finance the education of a lifetime. The budget provided below is based on a moderate student lifestyle and represents the maximum amount of financial aid possible for the fall/spring 09-10 academic year.

Students may incur additional costs not included in the budget above, such as the following:
- Comprehensive medical insurance (only basic coverage is included)
- Medical expenses not covered by insurance
- Study Tours
- Computer replacement costs
- Optional activity fees, such as club dues and event costs
Visit the Student Financial Services Web site for a complete University guide, including the most up-to-date information on billing, payments and financial aid. Note that tuition is set by the University’s Board of Trustees and is subject to change.
Students who are not U.S. citizens and who need authorization for special billing of tuition or fees to foreign institutions, agencies or sponsors should contact the International Students and Scholars Office. Third-party payment authorization is required of students whose bills are to be sent to a third party for payment.
University charges — such as tuition, fees, residence and board — are billed on student account statements, which is e-mailed in August and December of each year for the upcoming term. Statement charges are due and payable in full on or before the payment due date, which will be in early September or in early January before the beginning of the billed term. Students who do not receive the first student account statement are expected to pay at registration.
