Real Time Communications
Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 for Windows is a collaboration tool that will enable faculty, staff, and students to communicate with each other quickly and easily from their computers. With Microsoft Office Communicator not only can you send text messages in real time over the network securely via Instant Messaging, but Office Communicator also supports peer-to-peer audio and/or video conferencing, application sharing, whiteboard sessions (when connected to the CBS network), and group discussions. It also includes the ability to use external instant messaging client connectivity to AOL, MSN, and Yahoo. Macintosh users can use Microsoft Office Messenger for Mac with the ability to send instant messages to CBS colleagues and external instant messaging clients and file transfers.
