Adobe Connect Pro
ITG supports Adobe Connect Pro, a solution for real time web conferencing. Adobe Connect Pro is a web based conferencing utility that provides many useful and user friendly tools for presenting and sharing of documents, applications, polling, links, and web pages, and includes integrated audio and video over IP for face to face collaboration. As a Flash based utility, it is the most browser friendly solution.
Cost and Ordering
Adobe Connect accounts can be provided to any faculty or staff by e-mailed request to mmgroup@gsb.columbia.edu. The current cost for an account is $99 annually, based on the fiscal year. Please include in your e-mail and account number to which the charge should be applied. Connect accounts allow simultaneous connection of up to 100 viewers and there are no other charges if you use integrated IP voice/video. You may also opt to use traditional phone conferencing, which may incur charges depending on the service. You may use your own existing office or cell phone for voice, or any 3rd party conferencing service.
Support and Resources
ITG will administer your Adobe Connect Pro Account and offer support such as basic Q&As, assistance with camera and microphone accessories, and password management.

If you are currently a user of Microsoft LiveMeeting or other web conferencing or collaboration tools such as Skype or Webex, you are welcome to continue using them. We have settled on Adobe Connect as our primary supported solution for a variety of reasons including cost, feature, ease of use, and near universal browser compatibility.
