Columbia Business School Healthcare Alumni Network

Columbia Business School alumni are engaged in all segments of the global healthcare industry. Alumni play an active and critical role in the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management Program. In addition to being career mentors to students, speakers at various Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management Program/HCIA events and lecturers in the classroom, alumni help guide the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management Program. These are valuable interactions that not only link our students to the real world but also greatly enhance on-campus recruitment and networking activities. Alumni and student events are organized in various geographic sites to keep alumni abreast of the latest developments in the healthcare industry and to provide learning and networking opportunities. Information on upcoming healthcare alumni events can be found on the Events page.

Alumni Testimonials

“Columbia Business School provided me with the knowledge and leadership skills I needed throughout my career, leading to my current role as Chairman and CEO of BD. I’m very excited about the direction of the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management Program at Columbia Business School. It provides the multidisciplinary skills that enable students to develop new approaches to address the strategic, economic, competitive, technological and sociopolitical challenges facing the global healthcare sector. The program is training the types of well-rounded leaders we seek to hire at BD.”
Edward J. Ludwig ’75, Chairman and CEO, BD

“The practical lessons and industry insights from professors and guest speakers in the healthcare electives at the School prepared me for the unique challenges I confront in my job with a global medical-products company.”
