The Finance and Economics Division welcomes new faculty members:
Moshe Cohen, PhD in Economics, MIT
Professor Cohen's research interests are in the areas of Corporate Finance, Industrial Organization, Law and Economics, Structural Econometric methods and the intersections of these fields. In recent work on corporate governance, he examines the design of corporate governance laws and their varying incidence on differentially structured firms. In recent industrial organization work on airline markets, he examines the supply and demand effects of hubs and the impact of Low Cost Carriers. Cohen teaches the MBA level course on Capital Markets and Investments.
Marina Halac, PhD in Economics, University of California, Berkeley
Professor Halac's research interests are in the areas of contract theory, game theory, and organizational economics. Her current work focuses on the design of self-enforcing incentives and the structure of relationships in environments of asymmetric information. Halac teaches Game Theory in the MBA core course.
