Curriculum

The Finance and Economics Division offers a wide array of courses across MBA, EMBA, and Doctoral programs of Columbia Business School, and is a leader among business schools in preparing students for jobs and careers in finance. Courses offered under the umbrella of the Finance and Economics Division will prepare students for career paths that include but are not limited to consulting, corporate finance, capital markets, sales and trading, investment managements, and private equity.

The full-time and Executive MBA programs provide students with an opportunity to master the foundations of finance theory and choose mainstream electives as well as practitioner courses and seminars that focus on subjects of immediate implications in careers. The PhD program in Finance and Economics provides a rigorous training for scholars who go on to conduct original research as faculty members of leading global institutions.
