The Columbia Senior Executive Program (CSEP):
Positive Impact Project
In fall 2008, the Positive Impact Project was launched as a new component of CSEP: an in-depth project to provide expert advice to a non-profit organization.
CSEP Class 125 formed a partnership with the Humpty Dumpty Institute (HDI), a New York-based nonprofit that pursues innovative solutions to humanitarian problems. Throughout the four weeks, participants developed the business plan for HDI's Mushrooms with a Mission initiative, a Vietnam-based enterprise that will employ survivors of landmine explosions, and spin off income to clear unexploded ordnance.
This brief video clip shows CSEP participant Eric Glaser, Captain, U.S. Navy, summarizing the project during the final presentation.
