This yearâ??s conference will bring 800 professionals, alumni, and students to Lerner Hall for a day of candid discussion on the state of the industry. Our 2013 Conference theme â??Creating Value in a Shifting Landscapeâ?? will focus on the emerging challenges and opportunities facing the private equity and venture capital industries in the coming year. Panelists will discuss a breadth of topics including middle market operational investment, regulatory effects on alternative investment, and the directive between General and Limited partners. The goals of this conference are to educate, promote discussion, and provide a forum for interaction between academics, professionals, and students who are active in the private equity and venture capital communities. New York City is at the epicenter of these industries, and Columbia Business School is committed to being a leading mentor in developing the next generation of industry talent.

Donna Hitscherich

Professor Hitscherich has served as a member of the School's adjunct faculty in finance and economics since 1992. She currently teaches Advanced Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions in the MBA and Executive MBA programs.
