The SIPA Pan-African Network (SPAN) invites you to The African Economic Forum (AEF), an intercultural conference aimed at creating dialogue on African economic issues among policymakers and business people from across Africa and students at SIPA and the Columbia-wide community.

AEF is the premier student-run event at SIPA dedicated to current economic challenges and opportunities regarding the African continent.

This year, AEF, in addressing the dynamic aspects of human capital on the African continent, will address the salient issues of African social entrepreneurship, the role of African education in shaping new leadership, and efforts toward harnessing the benefits of natural resources through three panels:

"Capital Change: Market-based Philosophies for Social Good"

"Educating New Leaders and the Role of African Universities"

"Harnessing Natural Resources for Domestic Benefit"
