April 17, 2009: Over 200 admitted students, faculty and administration gathered at the Altschul Auditorium to participate in the Third Annual Ecademy Awards, a celebration of the creativity, spirit, and diversity of the School’s Entrepreneurship Program. Watch video.

February 18, 2009:  Many family businesses have cash which they need to invest.  Frequently, these families have questions about investment strategy as they look to preserve their capital and seek long term appreciation, especially in today's complex environment.  Leading economist Professor Bruce Greenwald shares his insights on family wealth management. February 16, 2009: The CEO club and The Entrepreneurship Program co-hosted a Supercharger, an evening social networking event designed to introduce 1st year MBA students to the Program.  Featured alumni Chris Relyea '08, Andrea Wenner '04, Shazi Visram '05, and Tom Potter '83 talked about their companies, their experience post graduation and how they took advantage of the Program's many resources while in school. January 30, 2009:  Global Social Venture Competition Mentor Day's featured speaker was Miranda Magagnini, the Co-CEO of IceStone. Professor Cathy Clark also held a workshop on the Social Impact Analysis: How to quantify the social impact of a venture.

January 26, 2009: The Women Entrepreneurs Network [WEN], featured Amy Millman of Springboard Enterprises. Amy talked about the company she co-founded, Springboard Enterprises, whose mission is to facilitate women entrepreneurs' access to the equity markets. She offered information on the sources and uses of equity capital to the group and took their questions. Watch video.

November 13, 2008: The Columbia Family Business Network presented a panel on real estate and the family business.  Watch video.

October 8, 2008: The CEO club and the Lang Center presented the Supercharger, an event that introduces students to an overview of entrepreneurship courses, events and services offered at Columbia Business School.  The event featured a panel of four alumni entrepreneurs including Brooklyn Brewery co-founder Tom Potter '83.    Watch video  | download entrepreneurship program deck [PDF].

October 7, 2008: The Columbia Business School Asian Alumni Club of New York invited Columbia alumni entrepreneurs Alfonso Lau '74, Shazi Visram '04, Matt Wang '05 and Chris Chen '08 to share with members what they wish they knew before starting a business. Watch video.

October 2, 2008: Forum on the Economy - Dean Glenn Hubbard, Senior Vice Dean Chris Mayer, and Professors Bruce Greenwald and Pierre Collin-Dufresne discussed the banking crisis and responded to questions from MBA students at Columbia Business School. The panelists addressed the turmoil among financial institutions, the government's efforts to agree upon a bailout strategy and the potential effects of the crisis on the U.S. and global economies. January 31, 2008: Science and Technology Ventures  and The Entrepreneurship Program recently co-hosted a panel discussion of prominent members of the local VC community discussing what areas of science venture capitalists are currently looking to fund and what needs to be in place before a company approaches a them to make a pitch for funding

November 17, 2008: The Women Entrepreneurs Network (WEN) featured alumna entrepreneur Sarah Dean Kugelman '89 of skyn Iceland who talked about starting her business and her passion for it. Watch video.

November 5, 2008: The Lang Center honored their partners at a reception featuring some of the Program's alumni entrepreneurs.  Mr. Eugene Lang had a few words to the students in the room as well. Watch video.
