Partner Programs

In addition to the New York–based EMBA Program, Columbia offers two partner programs to fit the differing needs of prospective students.

EMBA-Global

In a pioneering partnership, Columbia Business School and London Business School launched EMBA-Global in 2001. The 20-month program, which enrolls approximately 65 students from around the world, offers classes that alternate between two of the world’s financial capitals. EMBA-Global faculty members are leading global experts from the faculties of both schools, while the students who enroll are diverse, sophisticated managers who often have global responsibilities in their jobs. EMBA-Global graduates earn full MBA degrees and privileges from each school and gain access to extensive resources that span both continents.

EMBA-Global begins in May of each year, with class sessions alternating each month between London and New York throughout the first year. In their second year, students take elective courses in New York, London or both cities. The second year may also include the optional weeklong International Seminar.

Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA

The Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA, a joint partnership between Columbia Business School and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, was launched in June 2002. The program brings together the extraordinary faculties of two top-ranked business schools in two of the world’s great business centers: New York City and the San Francisco Bay area. This unique program exposes professionals to solid general management fundamentals as well as the latest ideas in business theory and practice from both coasts. Graduates earn full MBA degrees from each school and gain access to two powerful alumni networks of top executives.

The Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA spans approximately 19 months. The program is divided into five terms of three to four months in length. During each term, class sessions meet five times, typically Thursday through Saturday.

Schedules, curriculum, applications and other details may be found on the Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA Web site.
