The EMBA Community
The intensive Friday-Saturday sessions of the EMBA Program foster social interaction and networking among students, while the cluster system and learning team structure provide students with essential peer support. You will find that Columbia Business School offers personal attention and support to help you maintain a healthy work-life-school balance.
The Support
Beyond creating an open and collaborative learning environment, the EMBA community also gives you the administrative support you need to stay on track. The program offers tutoring services for quantitative materials and extensive career management services. You will also receive catered lunches on class days and have your textbooks provided to you.
The Facility
Warren Hall houses EMBA administrative offices, student meeting space and a student lounge, as well as amphitheater-style classrooms. More than 20 breakout rooms are available for learning-team work. Classes are also held in Uris Hall, in the heart of Columbia University’s Morningside campus, a short walk from Warren Hall. Uris Hall’s recent renovations have created 34 additional study rooms for students. It also houses the Thomas J. Watson Library of Business and Economics, one of the largest and most comprehensive business libraries in the United States.
The Campus
Columbia University’s campus, designed as an academic village of Italian Renaissance–style buildings by renowned turn-of-the-century New York architects McKim, Mead & White, sits in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of New York. Flanked by residences and urban parks, the neighborhood is convenient to both midtown and downtown offices.
The City
With more than 3,000 multinational companies and the major stock, bond and commodity exchanges, New York is a living laboratory for the Columbia Business School community. By virtue of its location, Columbia affords you access to many of the world’s most successful and influential business leaders and incomparable opportunities for hands-on learning, mentoring and career networking.
