Admissions Requirements
Admission and program requirements are the following:
- Academic and professional accomplishments
- Company sponsorship, with assured time off for all class days and an explanation of financial arrangements (students may be self- or corporate-funded)*
- An undergraduate degree
- Personal essay
- Transcripts from all previous schools attended
- Two professional reference letters
- Completed application form, including essay
- GMAT or GRE score**
- On-campus interview
- Non-refundable $250 application fee
* While employment is a requirement for admission to Columbia Executive MBA programs,exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis for recently unemployed applicants who are otherwise highly qualified. You should discuss your situation with a member of the admissions team as soon as possible.
** GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) You must take the GMAT before the application deadline. Be sure to self-report your GMAT score when completing your application. In addition, you must submit an official score report http://www.mba.com/mba . We will consider only your highest score when reviewing your application. We will not, however, combine sub-scores from multiple exams into a composite score. GMAT scores are valid for five years. Columbia's GMAC code is QF8-N6-36.
In place of GMAT, we will accept GRE (Graduate Record
Examinations) test scores, if you have not taken the GMAT within the last 5
years. If you have taken both the GMAT and GRE within the last 5 years, we will
only consider your GMAT scores. GRE scores are only valid if GMAT was not taken
after January 2005 and if the GRE is taken between January 1, 2010 and June 1,
2010.
There are no waivers for the GMAT or GRE.
