B9502-001: Global Business Project
,
Instructor: donald sexton
The Global Business Project is an application only course that provides MBAs from premier business schools the extraordinary opportunity to work in co-located and virtual teams on real business issues facing multinationals or local companies while improving their language skills. Students from Columbia Business School may participate along with students from twelve other partner schools. Projects and teams are chosen through a competitive application process in the fall. Project work begins with a kick-off meeting of teams and their supervisors in Washington D.C. in March and students work virtually on their projects through April and on the ground in the destination country in May. The project is comprised of strategically-oriented projects based in destination countries, which include Brazil, China, Japan, Poland and Russia for 2010. Teams are guided in their predeparture and on-the ground work by business and business language faculty from participating schools as well as senior managers at the company. To learn more about applying, please contact CIBER at ciber@columbia.edu; application deadline is November 15th.
The program is not open to students graduating in May of 2010
