The Program on Alternative Investments of the Center on Japanese Economy and Business organized this conference to examine a variety of issues underlying the debate on sovereign wealth funds in Japan. Speakers consided individual pension account reform, investment by SWFs into Japan, governance of pension funds, management of foreign exchange reserves, and the relationship of these and other issues to building Tokyo as an international financial center.
