Kabir Masson, JD/MBA ‘10, Managing Editor
Management and Finance
Kabir has traveled extensively around the world, and has
lived in the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
Prior to Columbia Business School,
Kabir worked at Google, Inc. in California
for over 4 years. While there he worked on the Online Operations team, focusing
on global training and development as well as product development. Before
Google, Kabir worked with the World Health Organization in India. He holds
a BA and BS from Stanford
University, and has
served on the editorial board of the Columbia Law Review.
Adrian Almazan, MBA ‘10
Finance and Management
Adrian is a native Californian with experience in investment banking and international development. Prior to Columbia Business School, Adrian was an analyst at Lehman Brothers in the Equity-Linked & Hybrid Solutions and Equity Capital Markets groups. In the Philippines, his family’s native country, Adrian established a microfinance initiative and participated in various medical relief missions. Through Columbia Business School’s International Development Club, Adrian consulted in Morocco for USAID/Development Alternatives, Inc. to attract investment in solar technology within the region. A food lover, Adrian has also completed a professional culinary arts program. Adrian holds a BA from Yale University and has studied abroad at Oxford University and the London School of Economics.
Lauren
Frasca MBA’10
Media and Marketing
Born and
raised on the coasts of the US,
Lauren has lived in Italy,
and traveled to 5 of the 7 continents – though she hopes to see at least one
more before graduating with her MBA. During her first year at Columbia,
Lauren participated in an International Development Club project in Brazil,
developing a business plan for Beleza Cidadania, an income-generating NGO.
Prior to business school, Lauren developed television shows and digital content
for networks such as The History Channel, WE, Food Network and Court TV, as
well as lead-authored a book on careers in health care for Harvard University.
Ritija Gupta, MBA ‘10
As a consultant for private and public sector clients prior to Business School, Ritija worked on long-term expansion and acquisition strategies, with a focus on improving client impact on social welfare. Pursuing her interest in strategic planning and development for international clients, she worked at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, an arm of the US State Department. She has also spent time abroad in Bhopal, India to lobby for the rights of those affected by the Union Carbide disaster. Her writing and directing has been seen throughout the Chicago theatre scene, most notably at the Second City Skybox. She holds a BA from the University of Chicago and an MPP from Georgetown University.
Brian Hindo MBA '10
Finance and Media
Before coming to Columbia Business School, Brian worked as a reporter and editor at BusinessWeek magazine. There, he covered a wide range of businesses, from high tech to heavy industry. Most recently, he wrote about corporate strategy. In 2007, Brian was named to TJFR/NewsBios' "30 Under 30" list of the notable business journalists. In 2008, he was awarded a Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Business and Economics Journalism. Brian is originally from Chicago, is an avid traveler, and has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS from Columbia University's School of Journalism.
James Walsh MBA’10
Finance and Management
A native Texan, James has traveled extensively for work, education and leisure. Prior to business school, he worked in economic and market analysis at Citigroup, researching domestic and international economic issues. Before joining Citi, James also worked as an internal consultant for a privately held chemical manufacturer, where he was involved in projects for operations in Belgium, Denmark and Germany. In addition, he took courses in corporate social responsibility and sustainability at the London Business School as a StartingBloc Fellow. James graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science and Economics from Tulane University in New Orleans and holds a CFA Charter.
