Professor Charles Calomiris featured in prominent Japanese newspaper
Japan’s financial future was a much talked about topic both at the recent June 3rd, Keizai Koho Center symposium in Tokyo, Japan and in the local media. A recent article in The Japan Times featured Charles Calomiris, the Henry Kaufman Professor of Financial Institutions and academic director of the Chazen Institute. In "Financial Institutions should preserve market discipline and trust" which appeared on June 16, 2005, Calomiris explains his views on Japan’s challenges and future development steps especially with regard to the new guidelines for hostile takeovers.
