Study Tour Papers
Taking the classroom abroad provides Columbia MBA students with an exceptional international educational experience. To add greater intellectual depth to their study tour, students are encouraged to enter the Outstanding Chazen Study Tour Report paper contest. Students identify a current topic or question(s) specific to the region they will tour. Using advanced readings and additional in-country research, they produce a six- to eight-page analysis providing real-time business knowledge related to the region. Selected study tour reports are published in the Chazen Web Journal of International Business, providing the Columbia community and business practitioners with current “on-the-ground” information.
The study tour paper project has been generously funded through the Chazen Insitute’s Heinz Dürr International Communication Fund. Dürr, a member of the School’s board of overseers, provided grant money to the School for the establishment of the fund.
