The China Business Initiative (CBI) at Columbia Business School provides a platform for representatives from academia, industry and government to exchange ideas and generate research on management and economic issues facing China. Under the auspices of the Jerome A. Chazen Institute of International Business, the initiative is directed by Fangruo Chen, the Ira Rennert Professor of Business.

Over the past 30 years, the business and economic environment in China has changed dramatically and Chinese firms have experienced abundant successes and failures. Through open forums, roundtables and research publications, CBI will turn this wealth of information into management knowledge and make it available to students, researchers and practitioners around the world.
