Teaching and research interest

Dan Rosensweig serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Chegg.com, managing all aspects of the company. In 2009 Dan was President and CEO of Activision's Guitar Hero. In this role, he oversaw the company's global operations, including game development, hardware manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and marketing. From 2007 - 2009 he served as an operating principal at Quadrangle group, a private investment firm, focusing on the firm's media and communications private equity business. From 2002 - 2006 Dan served as COO of Yahoo! where he oversaw the company's worldwide operations, including the development and introduction of new Internet advertising formats. Mr. Rosensweig spent the previous 18 years at Ziff Davis, most recently as President where he was responsible for the company's global operations and the merger of ZDNet and CNET. He received a BA in political science from Hobart College. He is the former Co-Chairman of ONE.org and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Adobe Systems, Inc. and Katalyst Media and the Advisory Board of the non-profit DonorsChoose.org. Areas of interest: embracing technology to lead the transition from traditional media and communications to the future; developing and creating new business models around the internet and media; making access to education easier and less expensive so people can reach their potential.
