Professor Hambrick is an expert on strategic management and, particularly, is a leading authority on top executives and their effects on corporate performance. He is working on studies of executive staffing in corporate spin-offs and how the behavior and performance of CEOs vary over their tenures. His book Navigating Change: How CEOs, Top Teams, and Boards Steer Transformation was published in 1998. Hambrick has received several awards for teaching, including the Singhvi Prize for Scholarship in the Classroom (for the MBA Program) and the Margaret Chandler Memorial Award for Commitment to Excellence (for the Executive MBA Programs). He is an active consultant and speaker to corporations worldwide.
