Laura B. Resnikoff, a member of the Columbia Business School faculty since 1991, teaches Turnaround Management and has developed innovative electives including Restructuring, one of the School's inaugural Master Class offerings, and Private Equity Transaction, cross-listed at the Law School. Professor Resnikoff founded the Private Equity Program in 2007 and served as Director from 2007 to 2010. The Private Equity Program forges closer ties with the private equity industry, links theory with practice, and engages alumni who are leaders of the private equity and venture capital industries worldwide. Prior to joining the Faculty, Professor Resnikoff had a robust career with both large-scale corporations and privately held entities. She has extensive global experience with corporate operations, investment banking transactions, fund-raising, and debt placements. During her Columbia Business School tenure, she has consulted with corporations and selected not-for-profit organizations in a variety of industries on all aspects of organizational, operational, and financial restructurings. In addition, she serves as a member of several private companies' Advisory Boards.
