Faculty and Research

The accounting group has a wide range of research interests. Our faculty members conduct both theoretical and empirical research on issues relating to financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, management control, and corporate finance. We publish in the leading journals of accounting, finance, and economics and present our research at conferences and seminars around the globe. In recent years, our faculty members have received numerous research awards.

We strongly believe that outstanding researchers make outstanding teachers. We make every effort to bring the latest insights from our research into the classroom. Teaching and research do not compete for our attention; rather they complement each other.

We invest heavily to promote outstanding research. Our weekly seminar series features leading and upcoming scholars from around the world. In addition, our annual Burton workshop in October showcases the research of our faculty members and other leading scholars.
